Cyanide Poison Drop – Timahanga North

To whom it may concern,
Roydhouse Pest Management Ltd will be running a possum control operation on the range known as the “Timahanga North” on the Owhaoko C Trust land adjacent to Timahanga Station, approximately 100 kilometres west of Napier on the Napier Taihape Road. All landowners and adjacent neighbours have been notified. Weather permitting this operation’s duration 1st December 2011 till 31st May 2011.
As required by our MOH and as part of our operation we are advising local hunting clubs that toxin will be Feratox (encapsulated cyanide) contained with lure, in Biobags stapled to trees. All baits are dyed green and are deadly poison and harmful to humans. do not interfere with baits and do not allow children and dogs to wander unsupervised.
There may also be blue Biobags containing Feracol-cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) All baits are a paste and dyed blue. These baits can be harmful to humans and are harmful to cats, dogs and domestic stock. Do not interfere baits and do not allow children and dogs to wander unsupervised.
In some permitted areas there may be bait stations filled with Brodificoum present. These baits can be harmful to humans and are harmful to cats, dogs and domestic stock. Do not interfere with baits and do not allow children and dogs to wander unsupervised.
There will be signs erected on all access points.
